(1) Every Muslim shall deliver his fitrah amounting to one Bahdad gantang per person, which is equivalent to three katis and twelve tahils of rice according to the measurement of the State, for himself and for everyone of his dependants according to Hukum Shara' every year on or before on the first day of Shawal.
(2) Fitrah may be delivered by payment of its value in cash as may be prescribed by the Council from time to time.
