(1) As soon as the harvesting season is over or at the appropriate time the Amil shall meet the padi planters who are liable to deliver the zakat and examine their padi at the place where it is kept.
(2) The Amil, after obtaining the required information regarding the amount of a padi planter's income, shall enter his name into the Zakat Census Register as prescribed in Schedule A. A copy of Schedule A shall be sent to the Kadzi within fifteen days thereof.
(3) The Amil shall take care of the zakat padi after receipt thereof.
(4) The Amil shall report to the Kadzi of any padi planter who fails to deliver the zakat padi.
(5) The zakat padi shall not be sold except with the approval of and at the cost fixed by the Council.
(6) The Amil shall issue a areceipt in the authorised form for every delivery of zakat and shall make an entry in the Zakat Census Register.
(7) The Amil shall within fifteen days after completing the collection of zakat, deliver the zakat or the money collected in lieu thereof together with an account to the Kadzi or to any officer authorised by the President. The second copies of the zakat receipts shall be attached to and forwarded with the said account.
