(a) To investigate into any zakat or fitrah payment or inspect any account book or any paper which was kept, issued or received by the Amil or Kadzi in connection with the work of zakat or fitrah and to delegate such power to any person or officer of the council;
(b) To receive, collect or claim from any Muslim any money which can be received as zakat and fitrah or to delegate such power to any person or officers of the Council to carry out the duty on his behalf;
(c) To appoint officers, teachers and workers whose salaries are paid from zakat and fitrah money or to terminate their services provided their salaries do not exceed $100 per month.
