Phg. P.U. 1/86 PAHANG REGISTRATION OF RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS RULES 1985
Rule 2. Interpretation.
In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires-
"Enactment" means the Administration of the Religion of Islam and the Malay Custom of Pahang Enactment 1982;
"Majlis" means the Council of the Religion of Islam and Malay Custom Pahang;
"Manager" means any person who carries out the administration of a religious school;
"Religious Inspector" means a person appointed under section 40 of the Administration of the Religion of Islam and the Malay Custom Enactment 1982;
"Religious school" means a place where a total of twenty (20) or more persons, regardless of the number in attendance at any one time in a day, learn or are habitually taught in Islamic Religion whether in one or more classes and includes a Mosque, Surau, Islamic Centre, Madrasah, Balaisah and kindergarten but does not include any school maintained or sponsored by the government;
"Registrar" means in relation to religious schools a person appointed as Registrar under these Rules or any officer duly authorised to carry his duties;
"Yang Dipertua" means the Yang Dipertua Majlis Ugama Islam dan Adat Resam Melayu Pahang.
