PEGUAM SYARIE (STATE OF PENANG) RULES 1997

PART I - PRELIMINARY

Rule 2. Interpretation

In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires-

'' Committee'' means the Peguam Syarie Committee established under Rule 3;

'' Court or Syariah Court'' means the Syariah Subordinate Court, the Syariah High Court, or the Syariah Appeal Court, as the case may be under section 42;

'' Enactment'' means the Administration of Islamic Religious Affairs Enactment of the State of Penang 1993;

''MAINPP'' means the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Pulau Pinang established under section 4;

'' Register of Peguam Syarie'' means the Register of Peguam Syariereffed to in Rule 16.
