Rule 23. Application to be reappointed as Peguam Syarie

(1) Subject to these Rules, on the recommendation of any Committee, the MAINPP may, if it considers fair and reasonable, reappoint any person, whose name has been deleted from or struck off the Register of Peguam Syarie as a Peguam Syarie.

(2) An application for a person to be reappointed as a Peguam Syarieshall be made in the manner as prescribed by these Rules in respect of a person desirous of being appointed as a Peguam Syariefor the first time; but in respect of an application made under this rule, such application shall be supported by an affidavit setting out the reasons why the applicant is desirous of being reappointed as a Peguam Syarie.

(3) The fee for every Peguam SyarieCertificate issued under this rule shall be seven hundred ringgit.
