PART V - GENERAL PROVISIONS
Rule 26. Renewal
(1) Every application to renew a Peguam SyarieCertificate shall be made to the MAINPP not later than two months before the expiry date of the certificate.
(2) Every application shall be made in Form 1 as prescribed in Schedule 1 and shall be submitted to the Chairmain of the Peguam SyarieCommittee.
(3) The fee for every Peguam SyarieCertificate renewed shall be as follws-
(a) if the application for the renewal of the certificate is made within the period specified by subrule (1), the fee shall be one hundred ringgit;
(b) if the application for the renewal of the certificate is made after the period specified by subrele (1), the fee shall be as follows -
(i) if the application is made within a period less than two months before the expiry of the certificate, the fee shall be two hundred ringgit;
(ii) if the application is made within a period of one month after the expiry of the certificate, the fee shall be three hundred ringgit;
(iii) if the application is made after the period as specified by paragraph (b)(ii) but is made within two months after the expiry of the certificate, the fee shall be four hundred ringgit; and
(iv) if the application is made after the period specified by paragraph (b)(iii) but is made within three months after the expiry of the certificate, the fee shall be five hundred ringgit.
(4) A Peguam Syari who fails to renew his Peguam SyarieCertificate until the expiry of the period of three months as specified by subrule (3)(b)(iv) shall not be permitted to renew his certificate and his name shall be deemed to have been deleted by the MAINPP from the Register of Peguam Syarie and if he desires of being reappointed as a Peguam Syarie, he may apply in the manner as prescribed by Rule 23.
