REMINDER:

1. The above lafaz wakalah of wali shall be affirmed before two witnesses.

2. (If the wali is not resident of the kariah Masjid of the bride and he wishes to be represented by the Registrar or Assistant Registrar of the kariah Masjid where the bride is residing, witnesses shall be the Assistant Registrar and Mosque Officer of the kariah masjid where the wali resides. And if the wali is a resident of another state, the witnesses shall be the Registrar or Assistant Registrar of the kariah masjid where the wali resides or any authorised person of his kariah).

3. Witnesses of the solemnisation of marriage is a witness of izin and wakalah if the solemnisation is performed at the place where the wali resides.

4. This application shall be submitted to the Registrar at least seven days before the date of the solemnisation.

5. Permission to marry is required for a polygamous marriage.
