PART III - PEGUAM SYARIE
Rule 10. Application
(1) Any person who wishes to be appionted as a Peguam Syarieshall apply to the committee by using Form 1 in Schedule 1.
(2) Each application shall be addressed to the Chairmain of the Committee and shall accompanied by copies of the relevant documents.
(3) Each application shall be supported by two referees who shall be the following persons-
(a) a Peguam Syarie;
(b) an Advocate and Solicitor registered under the Legal Prefession Act, 1976;
(c) a member of the State Legislative Assembly;
(d) a member of Parliament; or
(e) a Government Officer in Group A.
(4) Every applicant shall, after his application has been served on and its receipt acknowledged in writting by the Chairmain of the Committee, affix a copy of his application on the notice board of every Syariah Court in Penang for one month.
