PART IV - INSTRUMENT OF THE BOARD OF MANAGEMENT
Rule 13. Qualification of Board member.
(1) The Instrument of the Board shall provide that no person shall be qualified to be a member of the Board of an Islamic School unless he is—
(a) a Malaysian citizen and a Muslim;
(b) not less than 21 years but not more than 65 years old;
(c) suitably qualified and of good and honest character;
(d) physically and mentally healthy;
(e) not a bankrupt; and
(f) has not been convicted of an offence by a court in Malaysia and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of not less than two (2) years or to a fine not less than three thousand ringgit.
(2) Notwithstanding subrule (1)(b), any person who exceeds 65 years of age may become a member of the Board with the approval of the Registrar upon such terms as may be deem fit by the Registrar.
