CONTROL OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS RULES (PENANG) 2001

PART I - PRELIMINARY

Rule 2. Interpretation.

In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires—

“Board” has the same meaning assigned to it under section 2 of the Enactment;

“Department” means the Department of Islamic Religious Affair of the State of Penang;

“Enactment” means Control of Islamic Religious Schools Enactment (Penang) 1989;

“Government Fund” means a fund that covers all monies given by the State or Federal Government;

“Hostel Fund” means a fund that covers all monies given by the State or Federal Government and collections from students for management of the hostel;

“Islamic School” has the same meaning assigned to it under section 2 of the Enactment;

“Majlis” has the same meaning assigned to it under section 2 of the Enactment; and

“Suwa Fund” means a fund that covers collections made by the school, contributions from the public and collections from business projects carried out by the school.
