(1) Sulh shall be conducted in a Majlis where both parties to the action are present and such Majlis shall be chaired by any public officer appointed by the Chief Syarie Judge for such purpose.
(2) Parties in the proceedings of the Majlis shall appear in person and no party shall be represented by any other person without the leave of the Chairman.
(3) The Chairman shall, where possible, render his assistance to the parties to resolve the dispute concerning the subject matter of the sulh and shall give each of them an apportunity of being heard, may take evidence from such party, accept any document submitted and may, if he thinks necessary, adjourn the Majlis from time to time.
