PART VI – MEETINGS
Rule 22. Meetings of Jawatankuasa Qaryah.
(1) The meeting of aJawatankuasa Qaryah shall be held at least once in two months.
(2) The Chairman of aJawatankuasa Qaryah for a qaryah masjid shall preside over each meeting of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah for the qaryah masjid, and in his absence the Deputy Chairman of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah shall preside over the meeting.
(3) In the absence of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman, the members of the Jawatankuasa present may appoint one of those present to preside over the meeting .
(4) Seven members of the Jawatankuasa present shall form the quorum for any meeting of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah.
(5) The decision of the meeting of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah shall be made by the votes of the majority of the members of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah present. In the event of an equality of votes, the Chairman, or Deputy Chairman or members of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah whom preside over the meeting shall be entitled to have a casting vote.
(6) Subject to these Rules and any direction ofMAINPP or JAIPP, the Jawatankuasa Qaryah may regulate the procedure of its own meeting.
(7) The minutes of the meeting of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah shall be submitted to MAINPP as soon as possible.
(8) The Jawatankuasa shall give at least three days notice in writing before a meeting is held.
