PART VI – MEETINGS

Rule 24. Annual general meeting.

(1) The annual general meeting of a qaryah masjid shall be held every year between the month of January or February.

(2) Every annual general meeting of a qaryah masjid shall have the following agenda-

(a)

recital of the

doa selamat

and

Al-Fatihah;

(b)

the chairman's address;

(c)

confirmation of the minutes of the previous annual general meeting;

(d)

matters arising;

(e)

presentation of the financial statement of the

qaryah masjid

for the previous year, and estimates of the income and expenditure for the current year;

(f)

discussion of motions and proposals (if any); and

(g)

other matters.

(3) The Chairman of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah shall preside over each annual general meeting, and in his absence, the Deputy Chairman shall preside over the meeting .

(4) If the Chairman and Deputy are absent, members of the Jawatankuasa Qaryah present may appoint one of themselves to preside over the meeting.

(5) 40 persons or one third of the total number of anak qaryah in the register of the qaryah who are at least 18 years of age, whichever is the less, shall form the quorum for the annual general meeting of the qaryah masjid.

(6) The decisions of an annual general meeting of a qaryah masjid shall be made unanimously or by the majority of the anak qaryah present.
