PART V - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Regulation 20. Annual General Meeting
(1) The Annual General Meeting shall be held before 1 April in every year. Any Jawatankuasa Kariah which does not comply with this subregulation commits an offence under these Regulations.
(2) The Chairman of the Jawatankuasa Kariah shall direct the Secretary or any member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah to summon Annual General Meeting.
(3) The Chairman of the Jawatankuasa Kariah shall preside the Annual General Meeting and if he is absent or unable to act due to illness or other causes, the Deputy Chairman shall preside over the Annual General Meeting.
(4) If the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman are absent in the meeting, the members present shall elect one of them to preside over the meeting.
(5) The quorum for the Annual General Meeting shall consist of twice the number of members of the Jawatankuasa Kariah who are at least 18 years old.
(6) The Annual General Meeting shall-
(a) present all report of activities which have been carried out by the Jawatankuasa Kariah for the preceeding year;
(b) present all financial reports for the preceeding year; and
(c) debate the motion received from the ahli kariah.
(7) A copy of the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting which has been signed by the Chairman and Secretary shall be submitted to the Religious Administration Officer and Chief Executive Officer within thirty days after the meeting is held. Any Secretary of the Jawatankuasa Kariah who does not comply with this subregulation commits an offence under these Regulations.
