Regulation 10. Revocation, suspension of appointment and resignation
(1) The appointment of any member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah may be revoked by the Majlis if he-
(a) has been convicted of any criminal offence by any Court;
(b) has acted, whether in respect of his duties as a member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah or otherwise, which may bring discredit to the Majlis, Department or the Jawatankuasa Kariah;
(c) has been declared an undischarged bankrupt;
(d) is incapable of carrying out his duties as a member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah;
(e) denies, disobeys, disputes orders or directions of religious authorities;
(f) has been absent from three consecutive meetings without consent of the Chairman; or
(g) has failed to carry out his duties as specified in these Regulations or as directed by the Majlis.
(2) The Director may suspend any member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah after it is satisfied that report lodged regarding misconduct of the member which requires investigation.
(3) A member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah, may, at any time, resigned from his office by giving a notice in writing to the Chief Executive Officer of the Majlis and the resignation shall be effective from the date the Chief Executive Officer receives the notice.
