Regulation 9. Termination of appointment
(1) The appointment of any member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah shall terminate-
(a) on his death;
(b) if he has been absent from Malaysia, without the written permission of the Chief Executive Officer of the Majlis, for a period exceeding three months; or
(c) if he is no longer a member of that kariah masjid.
(2) Notwithstanding paragraph 9(1)(c), appointment of a member of the Jawatankuasa Kariah shall not be terminated if he has been given an exemption by the Majlis under subregulation 7(2).
