Rule 8. Tenure of office
(1) Subject to subrule (2), the tenure of office of an Assistant Registrar is 3 years from the date of his appointment unless he sooner resigns or his appointment is sooner terminated by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan.
(2) An Assistant Registrar appointed before the commencement of these Rules shall hold office until the expiry of 3 years calculated from the date of commencement of these Rules unless he sooner resigns or his appointment is sooner terminated by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan.
(3) Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan may, on the recommendation of the Majlis, extend the tenure of office of an Assistant Registrar for a period which shall not exceed 3 years at any one time.
