(1) No person shall practise or do any act as a Peguam Syarie unless he has been admitted as a Peguam Syarie in accordance with these Rules and he has a valid Sijil Amalan Guaman Syarie.
(2) No person shall practise or do any act as a Peguam Syarie if an order under paragraph 19(2)(a) or (b) is in effect.
(3) A Peguam Syarie shall not practise or do any act as a Peguam Syarie if his Sijil Amalan Guaman has expired.
(4) Any person who contravenes subrule (1), (2) or (3) commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
