PART III - RELIGIOUS LECTURES
Regulation 17. Delivering religious lectures.
(1) A person who is desirous of giving religious lectures in the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan shall apply to get a written permission from the Religious Administrative Officer of where the religious lectures is to be held.
(2) The application shall be made in Form SI of the Schedule and submitted at least seven days before the date of the lecture.
(3) The applicant shall submit three passports size photographs with a copy of approved document or a letter certifying the qualification.
(4) In considering the application under this regulation, the Religious Administrative Officer shall refer to and adhere to the guideline as prescribed by the Mufti.
(5) If there is any doubt in considering the application, the Religious Administrative Officer shall refer it to the Mufti and any directives of the Mufti shall be followed.
(6) Subject to subregulation (5), the Religious Administrative Officer may reject any application without assigning any reason.
(7) The written approval by the Religious Administrative Officer shall be in Form SII of the Schedule and subject to payment of fees levied by the Majlis.
(8) The Religious Administrative Officer may impose any condition on the approval of giving religious lectures under this regulation.
(9) A person who has been given the permission to conduct a religious lecture shall abide the conditions imposed by the Religious Administrative Officer and if any of the condition is not adhere to, then the Religious Administrative Officer shall cancel the permission issued.
