(i) Every person applying for a licence as a Peguam Syariah shall be required to appear before a Board appointed by the Majlis with approval of the Ruler in Council, for the purpose of determining whether in the opinion of the Board, the applicant ahs an adequate knowledge of Muslim Law, Court procedure, Malay language and custom and is a suitable person to be granted a licence as a Peguam Syariah;
(ii) The Board shall send its opinion for the consideration of the Executive Committee of the Majlis;
(iii) The Board shall consist of the Yang dipertua as Chairman, the Mufti and three other persons as members;
(iv) Where teh opinion of the Board is not unanimous, the opinion of the majority shall prevail.
