Rule 3.

Apart from the powers specially provided in the Enactment, a Registrar shall also have the following powers:

3.1. A Registrar has the powers to witness the taking of any oath or declaration regarding any matter presented to him for investigation and for registration purpose.

3.2. A Registrar may request for any Muslim to be present before him to give evidence or to present any evidence for the purpose of sub-section (1).

3.3. A person who is requested by a Registrar to be present before him, if willfully fails to do so, is deemed to be in contempt of the Religious Authority or Religious Officer of the Council and has committed an offence upon conviction may be sentenced with a fine not exceeding Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand or with imprisonment not exceeding six month or both.
