UNDANG-UNDANG ZAKAT DAN FITRAH (PINDAAN), 1970

Regulation 4. Amendment to regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations.

Regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations is amended by

(i) renumbering regulation 9 as 9A; and

(ii) inserting the following new regulation 9 after regulation 8A-

Regulation 9. Dismissed Amils to surrender Certificate of appointment and collections of Zakat and Fitrah.

(1) Any Amil who has been dismissed under regulation 8(3)-

(a) shall within fifteen days of receipt of a notice of such dismissal surrender to the Chief Custodian his Certificate of Appointment; and

(b) shall within one month of receipt of such dismissal submit to the Chief Custodian the whole of such collections of Zakat and Fitrah as are in his possession on that date.

Punishment for failure negligence

(2) Any Amil who fails or neglects to comply with the or provisions of this regulation shall be guilty of an offence. Penalty: a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars."
