Regulation 2. Interpretation.
In these Regulations-
"Amil" means a person duly appointed by the Chief Custodian under regulation 8 of these Regulations to collect Zakat and Fitrah;
"Chief Custodian" means the person appointed to be Chief Custodian of the Tabong under regulation 6;
"Fitrah" means a certain measure of rice or its equivalent in money determined in accordance with Shariah Law and made payable annually at any time during the month of Ramadhan before the delivery of the Sermon for the 'Idil Fitri prayer;
"Majlis Islam" means the Majlis Islam Sarawak constituted by section 3 of the Majlis Islam (Incorporated) Ordinance [Cap. 105];
"Tabong" means the Fund constituted by regulation 3;
"Zakat" means a religious tax imposed on the property and income of a Muslim in accordance with Shariah Law.
