(ADMINISTRATION OF MOSQUES) RULES 1987
Rule 17. Mosque's fincance
(1) Mosque's funds may be used for matters beneficial for performance of religious activities, including for the purchase of equipments and maintenance of Mosque.
(2) The Treasurer may be allowed to keep cash no exceeding $100.00 at one time. The sum exceeding the amount shall be credited into the bank agreed by the Committee within 7 days.
(3) All cheques or statement of withdrawal from the Mosque's account shall be signed together by the Chairman, the Secretary and the Treasurer.
(4) The authorities for permission for the expenditure of Mosque's fund are as follows:
(a) Expenditure of less than #200.00 at one time may be permitted by the Chairman.
(b) Expenditure exceeding $200.00 up to $10,000.00 at one time shall have the mandate and permission of the Mosque Committee.
(c) Expenditure exceeding $10,000.00 at one time shall have the permission of the President of the Majlis.
(5) The statement of funds received and expended together with the balance of account for the year shall be made available and examined by the auditors soonest possible after the closing of the financial year.
(6) The Mosque's financial year commence from the 1 January and ends on the 31 December each year.
